Stop Foreclosures and Eliminate Tax Debt

If you are facing emergency bankruptcy, it is likely that you would be better off filing for Chapter 7. However, many bankruptcy firms encourage clients to file for Chapter 13 — especially if they don't pass the means test for easy access to Chapter 7 bankruptcy. You should know that Chapter 13 may not be in your best interest — and it is not your only option.

Do Not Be Rushed Into Chapter 13 Bankruptcy

Just because you did not pass the Chapter 7 means test does not mean you are ineligible to file for Chapter 7. All it means is that the bankruptcy court will scrutinize your expenses. If your current lawyer does not provide this alternative to filing for a standard Chapter 7, I am happy to provide a second opinion. As your attorney, I will do everything possible to qualify you for Chapter 7 — I will never direct you to file a less advantageous Chapter 13 bankruptcy unless there is no other option.

The New Bankruptcy Law Can Help You

You may have heard other law firms speak negatively about the 2005 bankruptcy law. Contrary to popular opinion, however, the new law can actually work in your favor. Contact me to find out how the new bankruptcy law can benefit you.
